Mark Walton could return to action for City reserves in the next Avon Combination league match at London Rd, Peterborough tomorrow. Walton has not played yet this season after ndergoing a cartlidge operation. A fot Mark Walton will have to compete with first choice Neil Alexander and the Lee Kendall. Both keepers have been impressive in pre and early season.

City may field a strong XI against Peterborough as there is no first team action this weekend. There is talk of trying to arrange a first team friendly against possible Premiership oppsition for Thursday. The Premiership also have a blank weekend with the latest round of World Cup qualifiers takng place.

City will be without Scott Young and Jason Bowen. YOung is slowly recovering from the knee injury that forced him out of the first game against Wycombe and Jason Bowen is still suffering with a hamstring injury.

City play a second reserve game away at Bristol City next Monday and it could be that Alan Cork uses those games to fine tune the first team in readiness for the crucial away game at Reading on September 8th.

The Reading game is all ticket for City fans. Call 0845
