Alan Cork was back on the touchline last Saturday after completing his ban. The 9 game stretch was imposed after Corks comments about the referee at the Brighton v City game at the Withdean last season. Cork's ban started last season and was completed after the trip to MIllwall.

His joint assistant Ian Atkins is in the middle of his ban, also for for comments aginst a referee.

You may remember reading in my news item from Saturday that the referee had to confer with his linesman before giving Daniel Gabbidon a yellow card for his challenge on Wayne Feeney that led to Bournemouth's penalty.

In fact the referee was looking for a yellow card afetr finding he only had a red one in his pocket. Thankfully the linesman had one and Gabbidon was just cautioned. I'm sure Willie Boland is wishing he'd forgoten the red one as well.
