Rumours. Over the last week we have been linked to several players. For those who
have missed some of the names mentioned here you go. Lee Dixon. Arsenal right back, thought be a top target for Cardiff City. The story appeared last weekend and has since been denied by CCFC. Nathan Blake. Again story appeared last weekend and again seems to be a non starter. Neil Ruddock. Sort of linked before but strong message board rumours has made him a potential favourite especially as City are looking to strengthen the spine of the team. Rodney Jack. Been linked for a while, he impressed against City in the cup during the two games in January. There is a thought he has already agreed to sign. Jamie Tolley. Will line up for Shrewsbury against us. A £million+ prospect and allegedly City have already put in a £500,000 bid. Jason Koumas. Tranmere's goalscoring midfielder. He has dual nationality and may yet decide to play for Wales. Wild allegations abound that he has agreed to sign but as several Premiership clubs are chasing him its unlikely. Mark Hughes. His name still crops up. Would make sense to be situated close to his employers at the FAW but maybe pie in the sky. Paul Evans. Midfielder from Brentford. Solid player who has scored a few spectacular goals. Evans was linked earlier in the season but said he wanted to see out Brentfords LDV Cup run. The Bees were beaten at the Millennium Stadium last weekend in the final so he could be looking to move. Simon Howarth. Bambi is strongly linked to a move back to Ninian Park. Local press in Wigan are running with the story. The Wigan fans think he is lazy. He does score goals though. Add to these the old favourites Carlton Palmer, Gavin Ward and Andy Marriott. At the end of the day these are all rumours. Sam has said he will spend another £2m on new players this summer, the club feel they have the majority of players good enough to secure a top position in Div 2. City are looking for possibly a keeper, a central defender, a central midfielder and a forward. Expect 4 / 5 players to be signed, amd good ones at that. |
