Alan Cork subsituted Jason Bowen on Saturday and incurred the jeers of the 1500 or so City fans. Cork explained himself by saying

"Jason has not been playing games and there's no point in me ruining Jason Bowen for six weeks when I can play him next week if I take him off after 60 minutes today. He's only trained for half a week and had half a game in the reserves."

Cork also said that Bowen himself said he was ready to come off.

In fairness to Cork in this instance the right decision would appear to have been made.
