City put on a 5 star show at Richmond Park tonight with the Bluebirds romping home 5 - 0.

Paul Brayson, Leo FW (2), Jason Bowen and Layton Maxwell scored the goals.

Message board regular Declan Swann offered the following player ratings and brief report.

"Full credit to the lads who gave their all tonight. Leo was outstanding, Brazier excellent, Maxwell worked his socks off and had a stormer, but the best player on view tonight was Willie Boland, who covered every blade of grass, and never gave the ball away once. Martyn Giles came on for Kevin Evans who was substituted following a rash challenge, and did really well.
He deserves a place in the squad for Saturday`s game on this performance.

Marks out of 10.
Kendall- 8 pulled off one out of this world save.
Hogg- 7 steady
Brazier- 9 wanted to play
Hughes- 8 strong in the air did well
Evans- 2 enough said
Jordan- 7 battled hard
Maxwell- 9 class
Boland- 10 that`s why he`s played in the premiership
Leo- 9.5 worked his socks off, top man
Brayson- 9 great game
Bowen-8 busy

Subs
Giles-8.5 did very well bags of pace
G Jones- 8 very solid

Great team performance, the lads were really up for it."

Its pleasing to see Matt Brazier making an effort to prove the management wrong. Before the cynics say "it was only Carmarthen" the players can only compete against who is put in front of them. It appears thay have performed admirably tonight and well done.

Evans was taken off before he was sent off, a far better refereeing decision than the man in the middle last night who sent off Jason Fowler for a bad tackle.
