The Daily Mirror this morning has said that Cardiff City have made an £800,000 offer for transfer listed Stoke City skipper Graham Kavanagh. Kavanagh is on the list at his own request after Stoke City failed to win the play offs. He is a current Irish international and rated as one of the best midfielders in Division 2. He said he would only leave Stoke for first division football so he would be a major signing if he were to come to Ninian Park. At 27 he is highly rated. He was in the PFA Division 2 team of the year last season and made 53 starts. In total he has appeared in 240 league games for Middlesboro and Stoke and has scored 37 league goals. He has recently been attracting attention from first division Gillingham amongst others.

The report suggests that City will be given permission to speak to the player.

Graham was linked to City a few weeks ago but there was no substance in the rumour at the time.
