City crashed out of the FAW after a 1 - 0 defeat at Merthyr. Justin Perry scored the winner for Merthyr in the 18th minute.

City coach Ian Butterworth said "It's a massive disappointment. I can't believe what I saw out there".

Merthyr can now look for ward to the semi finals while Cardiff, as the old cliche goes, can concentrate on the league.
