Alan Cork has told Rob Earnshaw he will double his fine each time the player somersaults after scoring a goal. Last nights celebration has cost the young striker £100 and any goals he celebrates on Saturday will cost him £200.

While the risk of injury is a serious one Cork took time to have a light hearted view of Earnie's tricks and his Corks increasing wallet by saying

"I won't bother to ask Sam Hammam for a rise, I'll keep taking Earnie's money, but I don't think his mum will be happy if she sees his wage docket. Maybe she'll come looking for me and it won't be pleasant because she used to be a champion boxer!"

On the serious side of it Cork said

"The physio (Clive Goodyear) has told him to stop the spectacular somersaults. He fears one could go wrong and that risks serious damage. He's not joking."

Earnshaw will be hoping to score this Saturday and keep up City's impressive record of scoring in every game played.
