| Thurs 25th October 2001 - Legg injury worry | |
| October Headlines |
Andy Legg was rested today and told to stay in bed as he tries to over come a chest infection. The 35 year old defender was taken off as a precaution at Port Vale last night and will try to be fit for Saturdays home game with Tranmere. Martyn Giles is on stand by to cover the left back position if Legg is not going to be available. City's first choice left back Michael Simpkins is out for 6 weeks with knee ligament damage and Peter Thorne is to see a specialist about his injury making him doubtful for Saturday. Rhys Weston, who celebrates his 21st birthday on Saturday is also suffering slightly from a chest infection and is hopeful to be fit to play. |
