Cardiff City have appointed Julian Jenkins as a link man between the fans and the club. Julian is a long term Cardiff supporter and his appointment puts him into the heart of Cardiff City. He will deal with questions from supporters and help to ensure the smooth running of the football club. Julian can be contacted vis the webmaster at Cardiff City FC.

One of Julians first tasks as he starts work today is to find out the opinion of the fans regarding fixture changes due to rugby internationals.

Already the game against Wigan scheduled for Sat 13th Oct has been moved to Friday 12th Oct to avoid clashing with the rugby. Last season City lost tens of thousands of pounds by playing a match on the same day as Wales.

Sam has said he will not be forced to change dates because City are equally important but things have to be considered.

1. Do the fans want the matches switched, there will be City fans who are grateful to see both Wales rugby and Cardiff City in the same weekend. The club will then benefit from the increased gate.

2. There are those who say football should be played at 3:00pm on a Saturday no matter what is going on anywhere else in Cardiff or the rest of the world.

Sam, through Julian has asked for the opinions of the fans. Email Julian and have your say. Sam will listen to the arguments of those who matter most, the fans, and decisions can be made.
