New signing Dean Gordon will make his debut for Cardiff City just 48 hours after signing a one month loan deal. Gordon will go straight into the team at left back replacing Andy Legg.

City also welcome back Jason Bowen and Paul Brayson to the squad and one or the other is likely to play in attack with Leo FW and Earnie. Graham Kavanagh is suspended so Mark Bonner will play in midfield with Spencer Prior taking over the captains armband.

There is a doubt over Des Hamilton and its thought that Layton Maxwell could come into the midfield if Hamilton fails a late fitness test.

City line up expected to be

Alexander, Gabbidon, Young, Prior, Gordon, Hamilton, Boland, Bonner, Bowen, Leo FW, Earnie. Sunbs from Weston, Legg, Brayson, Maxwell, Collins, Low, Hughes.

Strikers Peter Thorne and Gavin Gordon are both back in training but tomorrows game is just too soon for them. Both will probably be in contention for City's next match on Dec 1st against Oldham at Ninian Park.

A win for City could move them into the play off places depending on other results. With the next two league games after tomorrow coming up at home within 4 days of each other wins are vital to keep in touch with the leaders.

Notts County's home form has been a bit erratic with only two wins and 4 draws to show from 9 games.

City away from home, Bury excepeted, have been in fine form and the attacking width that could be offered by Dean Gordon could see them continue with the good away form.

The last time City played at Meadow Lane a first half goal from Richard Carpenter looked to have given City a win but two goals in the last 10 mins saw Notts County take all three points. In fact City have not won at Meadow Lane since 1985. a 4 - 1 win that day has been followed by four consecutive defeats.

There is plenty of room at Meadow Lane with over 5,000 seats for away fans. Payment is at the turnstile and it costs £14 for an adult ticket.

There will be reaction on the messagebord with the website not being updated unto Sunday night.
