Kurt Nogan has spoken out in the Sunday newspapers about his treatment at Cardiff City. The fans purchase from Preston who was going to hopefully fire the the goals that saved City from relegation has hardly played at all for the first team and found himself on the transfer list a few months after signing. The striker said "I won't walk away from my Bluebirds dream".

Nogan intends staying at Ninian Park to see out his contract and wants to talk to Alan Cork on his return from Ireland to see if he is included in any of Cork's plans.

Nogan feels he needs action to prove himself.

"All I am asking for this season is a chance. I don't think I've been given a fair crack ever since I've got here. It's my hometown club and it was always my dream to come here and score lots of goals.

But I need a run of five or six games where I can play for the full 90 minutes. I can't make an impact with bit part roles as a substitute.

If it still hasn't worked out after that, I'll hold my hands up and accept it."

Nogan signed for City in March 2000, half of the money used to buy him was raised by fans organisation Bluebirds 2000. Its disappointing for the fans who contributed to see a player that was regarded a hero for coming to Ninian Park to be out in the cold. Nogan was transfer listed when Bobby Gould came to Ninian Park.

With Nogan reduced to the "third team" I think he will find a long road to get back to the first team. He is still on the transfer list and the club will listen to offers for him. The times Nogan was given a chance it was usually one off and he did not do himself justice. Maybe he's right, he needs more action but with City signing Leo FW and Gavin Gordan, and having Nugent, Brayson and Earnshaw in the squad he will find a difficult task.
