Rumours over the weekend have linked Cardiff City with £2m bids
for Fulham's Barry Hayles and Birmingham City's Geoff Horsfield. Neither rumour has any real foundation and there are no official acknowledgments. To take it one stage further the Sunday Sport, who brought us various sightings of Elvis and a bus on the moon were the ones to "break" the Horsfield link. Hayles was the first million pound plus player in the second division when Fulham took him from Bristol Rovers. Horsfield is listed as squad number 9 for Birmingham City's forthcoming campaign so I would take both links with a pich of salt. |
