| January Headlines |
Its reported today that City are stepping up their efforts to sign a midfielder and a
goal keeper. Its been common knowledge for a few weeks that we have needed an experieced
hed in midfield. Also we are relying on Mark walton as the only recognised keeper at the
moment. Alan Cork is quoted as saying he would like to have two new signings in within two
weeks. Mark Bonner is missed in midfield at the moment, he hopes to be back in action this season and should resume training next month. Jon Hallworth is still hopeful he can play again but there is a fair chance his career could be over from knee problems. The experiece of Bonner and Hallworth is missed. Lee Kendall the young keeper signed from Crystal Palace is set for his first appearance in a reserve league match at Newport tomorrow. Its also a chance for the likes of Dave Greene, Danny Hill, Kurt Nogan and others to get some proper football. This game is the second in the new reserve league. There are more fixtures to be added in after some problems in the first half of the season where only one game at Swansea was played. City won that 1 - 0.
