| January Headlines |
City can go second in Div 3 tomorrow night when they play the re-arranged game at Gay
Meadow aginst Shrewsbury. A win will take us level on points with Brighton but with a
better goal difference. It will though mean we will have played one game more than the
Seagulls. Leaders Chesterfield are 12 points ahead having played 3 games more. They play
tomorrow at York City. The game at Shrewsbury tomorrow is pay at the gate and the Shrews can accomodate 2000 away fans, it is pay at the turnstile. The 3 match ban that will be issued to James Harper after his sending off on Saturday does not come into force yet. He will be able to play tomorrow and on Saturday at Macclesfield. That then ends his initial loan period. City have agreeed a £250,000 deal with Arsenal for the player. Its up to him to decide if he will sign. If he does stay then he would miss the games at Brighton, Blackpool and at home to Scunthorpe. Harper will also be fined by Alan Cork. |
