Tues 21st August 2001 - Lucketti for Preston

City target Chris Lucketti, its been reported, has agreed to a move North to Preston. A fee thought to be around Ł1m has been agreed. The player rejected Cardiff City after saying he was settled in Yorkshire. Preston while closer is hardly local.

Another target, ex City player Simon Haworth was about to go on loan to Aberdeen but an injury crisis at the JJB will keep Haworth in Wigan.

Jason Fowler is currently on trial at Rushden and Diamonds.

Another linked player, Dean Saunders, is currently looking at a move to Crystal Palace.

Scottish goalkeepers Stewart Kerr of Celtic, a former City target is set to join Wigan to replace Ray Carroll who has moved to Man Utd and Ian McCaldon ex Livingstone and ex City target has joined Oxford Utd and kept a clean sheet at Swansea last Saturday.
