Grrrrrrrr, how disappointing was that? City blew it. Colchester were rubbish but still took a point from us. OK we are still 8th, still in contention but we should have been cruising it. I've tried to talk us up over the last few days, but that took the wind out of me. Leo FW and James Collins in the same front 3, you are having a laugh, OK Collins scored but in reality against that particular Colchester team they should have all scored. Collins was in for injured Brayson (Maxwell was on the bench, the obvious replacement). Make no mistake we blew it. They were the worse team at NP this season. They had ONE shot on target and scored from it. Here are the actual stats
See that, 1 corner to our 11, they were not at the races and we scrambled a goal and allowed them back in. We have no width, a point made all season. 4 - 3 - 3 is reaping rewards away from home but at NP is to central, no width, no wingers, no threat. We could have put a sackfull past Colchester if we had played a better, wider formation. Alan Cork has lost the respect of a lot of his followers after that. As I say we are still up there and still in contention but unless we get somebody to get the best out our players we are going to become the joke of the 2nd division. The players know its not right, we had one player booked tonight, Willie Boland got a yellow card for violent conduct. His crime? Punching Leo FW out of sheer frustration. What the heck is going on, our own players fighting. The call is changing from sort it out Cork to sort it out Sam..... |
