There
has been a massive response to the poll regarding a name for the new stadium. Over 1500
people voted with over half wanting to keep Ninian in the title. The winner was to keep the name as Ninian Park (23%) but closely followed by Parc Ninian (20%). New Ninian Park polled 10%. After that no name achieved more than 9%. Sam's favoured names of the Taff Stadium (2%) and The Land of the Dragon (2%) were not fans favourites. Voters were offered the chance to select their own name and 9% opted for a different name. Celtic Cauldron, Riverside Park, Celtic Fortress, House of Pain, Stadium Wales and 1927 Stadium were some of the choices. Three very clever suggestion's were Samden Park, The Blue Camp and my favourite the Sam Siro.
