City's Worthington Cup clash against Millwall at the New Den on August 21st is set to
be designated a high risk category C game by the Metropolitan Police. Opposing fans have clashed at fixtures between the teams in recent times, most noticably the two league games in the 1999 / 2000 season. A spokesman for Millwall said "It's fair to say this is a draw neither club wanted. "But I'm sure the relevant authorities will get together to make certain the cup tie passes off peacefully. "We will have talks with our security advisor and the local police liaison officer and link up with their Cardiff counterparts." |
