| April Headlines |
Saturday 21st April 2001. Bootham Crescent, York. Ko 3:00pm. Promotion, not a dream anymore, its so close I can nearly touch it. A win and we are up. over 3,000 City fans are expected to flood Bootham Crescent and make it a day to remember. City have several injury worries with Daniel Gabbidon, Scott Young, Mark Bonner, David Hughes, Gavin Gordan, Willie Boland and Josh Low all receiving treatment. Young and Boland are hopefull of playing while Gabbidon and Bonner are doubtful. Hughes, Gordan and Low are definately out. Jeff Eckhardt, Scott McCulloch and Andrew Jordan are all on standby. City squad. Muggleton, Walton, Brazier, Thompson, Legg, Young, Gabbidon, Weston, Evans, Eckhardt, McCulloch, Boland, Bonner, Bowen, Leo FW, Earnshaw, Brayson, Jordan. York are not totally safe from relegation so they will have something to play for. They have in their team Lee Nogan, Kurts borther. They also have former City player Nick Richardson is their line up. So two teams with a goal. City a win for promotion, York a win to secure safety. Only one winner for me. My prediction, York 1 - 2 Cardiff City. York can accomnodate over 3,600 fans and they are advertising on one of their websites that the Social Club at the ground welcomes home and away fans. Have a great day in York. Be careful, if we get the win then party til you drop, but stay out of trouble. The Blues are going up. |
