| February Headlines |
Cardiff have this morning signed striker Kyle Lightbourne from Stoke City. The deal
is a one month loan signing with a view to a permanent signing according to the Stoke City
press. Lightbourne 32, is a former Bermuden international and has played 360 career games scoring 117 goals. Lightbourne has been on the transfer list at Stoke and recently had an unsuccessful loan period with Swindon. Ironically his last goals for Stoke were against Swindon last November. Kyle joined Stoke for £500,000 from Coventry City who themselves paid £500,000 for him from Walsall. Last season Kyle played for Stoke against City twice. As promised City have brought in a striker to cover the suspentions to Leo and Gavin Gordan. Whether the move becomes permanent we will have to wait and see. The transfer deadline is in March. |
