Nathan Blake has told the Western Mail that he has no plans to return just yet to Ninian Park. Blake claims that there has been no contact with Cardiff, that contradicts the newspaper reports on the weekend that Blake's agent had been in touch with NP.

Blake says
'To be honest no-one has spoken to me about a move back to Cardiff.

'It's not as if I don't know Sam Hammam. I've had lunch with him and been to his house. It would be easy to contact my agent or me.

'But we've heard nothing. If Cardiff were interested I'm sure Blackburn would have let us know by now.

'As far as I'm concerned it's pure speculation. I don't know where it all started. It's been going on for two or three months and has become a bit embarrassing.

'Whenever I go home people keep asking me, 'When are you coming back?'

'Don't get me wrong. I love Cardiff City. Their supporters are second to none and I would like to manage the club one day when my playing career is over.

'I would never turn my back on the Bluebirds. They are the only Second Division club I would even consider playing for at present.

'But realistically I just can't see it happening. There are too many stumbling blocks.

'I know Cardiff are showing genuine ambition and the fans can look forward to more success with Sam at the helm. But it's a massive step down and there's also the wages issue.

'I'm only 29 and would like to think my future is in the Premiership for a few more years yet.

'I want to play at the highest level I can for as long as possible."

Dennis Wise, a player well rumoured to be interested in Cardiff City has agreed a £2.1m move to Leicester City. Robert Page the Welsh defender transfer listed by Watford could be a target for Aston Villa, the player confirmed it is just speculation by with former Watford manager Graham Taylor moving to Villa Park to work and the likelihood the Villa will lose Gareth Southgate could see the 26 year old Rhondda boy back in the Premiership.
