| January Headlines |
So its back to the bread and butter work this weekend. The Cup run is over and the
main focus of the season, promotion, is back at the front of everyone's minds. Cardiff should have little problem in beating Plymouth tomorrow but it was less then 4 weeks ago that the Pilgrims scored two late goals to beat us at Home Park and they will be going for a double over us. Plymouth have only won once away from home this season, they have managed 5 draws. James Harper and Gavin Gordon are both available again after missing the FA Cup game. Harper is likely to come straight back into the team and be joined in midfield by either Scott McCulloch, Kevin Evans or Willie Boland. Gavin Gordan will challenge Earnie for the role alongside Leo FW. I think Corky will go for the tried and tructed Earnie / Leo combination that has been so successful. So a full squad of 18 is available. I think we will run with Walton in goal, Legg, Weston, Young as the back 3. Matt Brazier as left wing back, Daniel Gabbidon on the right. James Harper, Jason Bowen and one of either Evans, Boland or McCulloch in midfield with Leo and Earnie up front. Subs from Gavin Gordan, Josh Low, Paul Brayson, Kurt Nogan, Andrew Jordan, James Collins and the two left over midfielders. With Chesterfield dropping points in midweek and Brighton not playing tomorrow City must close the gap. A big crowd is eexpected at Ninian Park to hopefully see another home win. |
