There
are plenty of snippits of City news today. Here's a run down. Dean Gordon has agreed to stay at City for a second month and he's so impressed that there's a good chance he'll complete a full move to Ninian Park. Gordon will only accept first division football next season and will use his second and probably third month on loan to decide if will stay. Gordon said "The fan base here is huge, the future here looks fantastic." Ig Gordon does sign its thought his wages will be £8,000 a week. The new stadium looks a step closer with press reports claiming the £40m, 30,000 seat stadium could get a green light from council chiefs within 3 weeks. Its alleged there are only 3 out of 52 councilliors objecting. Sam is spending £300,000 on plans and promotional video's to finally swing the approval of the council. Sam is also reported to have made another £3.5m available for team strengthening if more players are needed for a push into Div 1. Leeds United tickets go on sale on Wednesday, 9am, to holders of Port Vale ticket stubs. Tickets for City's home games aginst Reading on Boxing Day (midday) and against Bristol City on Dec 29th (3pm) are selling well and with the Leeds game the following Saturday City could have three sell out matches in a row. Don't leave it too late. Get your tickets early. The official website reports that Peter Thorne is due to come out of plaster in the next week and doctors will be able to asses the damage on his ankle after he has another scan. Alan Cork and all City fans will be hoping for good news. They also report that Michael Simpkins is able to resume training and could be fit for selection in approx 4 weeks. City's clash at Brighton, changed from Saturday Feb 2nd to Thursday Jan 31st will kick off at 7:45pm. Brighton report the match was changed after consultation with the police and Cardiff City.
