Chief Exec David Temme has responded to Bristol City's concerns over the sale of tickets for the game at Ninian Park on Dec 29th.

His counter-part at Bristol City was concerned over Cardiff's policy of selling directly to Bristol City fans.

Temme responded

“There is a designated number for Bristol City supporters to ring if they want tickets and because they have to purchase them using a credit card, it means we have all their names and addresses.

It’s a policy we have with all visiting teams and we monitor ticket-buyers as closely as possible.

It would be just as easy for someone to go to Bristol City and buy three tickets. You might know who the purchaser is, but you wouldn’t necessarily know where the other two tickets are going.”

Sexstone though is still not happy with the arrangement.

“I just can’t understand why Cardiff are doing this when there are always potential difficulties from a safety aspect for this fixture.

If we could sell tickets here as normal we’d offer them first to season ticket holders, and could watch for those that are black-listed trying to buy them. People travelling via our coaches could also be easily monitored.

I know Cardiff are doing this for all their fixtures this season but you’d think common sense would prevail for this match.

Their policy means, effectively, that anyone can purchase a ticket for either of the ends of the ground, so I’ve written to Cardiff to ask them to review their decision and help ensure genuine fans get the tickets.”
