Alan
Cork has rubbished the claims that City are considering Gordon Strachan by saying they are
"absolute nonsense". The City boss appears not be rushed into making a decision on a new coach. He told the Western Mail "Gordon coming to this club is absolute nonsense. Certain people are just making things up. They must have got Gordon mixed up with Neil Kinnock who was at our game against Wigan last Friday. He's the only man with red hair who has been at the ground recently. I'm sure Gordon is looking for a manager's job somewhere but he's not having mine because my job is safe. Gordon will get a top job. He might even become Scotland's new manager. He's a nice man and a good coach but he's not the person who will do the job we want. I'm going through the book to see who is available but there's no rush to appoint someone. We're playing OK." With only one win in 7 league games and 15 points dropped in that time there are a big few weeks coming up for Alan Cork. The fans may not totally agree that we are playing OK. After tonights cup game City play another 7 league games in 21 days. A lot more than 6 points will be expected for the 21 available in these matches. |
