Defender Andy Morrison and goalkeeper Alan Kelly are the two names linked with City today. Morrison is on the transfer list at Man City after making 12 Premiership appearances this season. He has been linked with City before but he joined Blackpool on loan instead. Morrison is a solid defender and well experienced. He skippered Man City to the Div 2 play off final but was dogged by injury when they were in Div 1. www.blueview.co.uk describe Morrison as "Great in the air and a fine passer, Morrison's burly frame belies his footballing ability. His greatest strengths are however his ability to organise and inspire those around him."

Morrison is 31 in July and highly thought of by the Man City fans. It was rumoured he was going to join Sheff Wed earlier in the year but the sacking of Paul Jewell halted any move.

Alan Kelly was reportedly approached by City back in February. Kelly then refused to drop down to Div 3 thinking that City would not be able to meet his wage demands, a move which cost him his international place because he was not playing first team football. Kelly was transfer listed last January by Blackburn after a request from the player. The arrival of Brad Friedel at Blackburn has left Kelly as reserve keeper. He was on the bench at Gillingham in their last game of the season.

These are players playing at Div 1 / Premiership level and the experience they would bring would be fitting with the targets of the City management.

Again nothing is confirmed but these players are thought to be on the City shopping list.
