With no official statement on players due to leave Ninian Park and no definate news on who we may be signing the rumour mills keep on grinding.

I mentioned last week that Roger Freestone was heavily linked. This has continued to bubble away and last night John Hollins snapped and said

"Roger Freestone is not for sale."

"If I see any more stories about him going to Cardiff I will not speak to the person who wrote them."

He added: " I have not had any approaches about Roger Freestone at all and if I see any more stories you will not be welcome here. "You won't get anything from me full stop."

Figures of £500,000 to £1m have been mentioned and even a swap move with Roger coming East while Leo FW and Kurt Nogan go west.

While on a Swansea theme there is no doubt that Jason Price is leaving the Vetch. He has been linked to City on several occasions as well.

The Echo today links several players with City. Most are names that have been linked before but all are speculation with the club refusing to give a definate yes or no as to whether they are even looking at these players.

Ryan Green makes the biggest headline today, he is quoted as saying it would be a dream move to come to Cardiff. Sorry for seeming cynical but after he has just completed a loan spell at Torquay after failing to get into the Wolves team he would say that, wouldn't he?

Goalkeepers linked are Grimsby's Danny Coyne, Blackburn's Alan Kelly, Dave Beasent from Forrest, Roger Freestone and Gavin Ward from Stoke. Defenders Neil Ruddock from Palace and Kit Symons and midfielder Alan Neilson from Fulham.

While on a Fulham theme the name Neil Lampton keeps cropping up. I have received several notes to say City are interested but there is very little information available about him. He is considered a very bright prospect.

No one has mentioned Mark Hughes or Andy Marriott for a few days so there I just have.

If any news breaks I'll let you know.

Cardiff-born Ryan Green has described the prospect of joining the newly-promoted Bluebirds as a "dream move".

The Welsh international is on Cardiff City's summer shopping list - they have £2m and are aiming to bring in six or seven players - and said: "Cardiff have been promoted and that's the one I am really waiting for."

Defender Green is with First Division Wolves, but finished the season with Third Division Torquay on loan.

"It was good experience to be playing first team football again," said Green. "I missed out on games because of Wales duty, but I played 10 out of 12 at the end of the season.

"I think I did okay and it paid off because I helped Torquay stay in the Nationwide League. That last day was memorable - I couldn't get off the pitch and people were trying to get my shirt.

"My loan is over and I'm back with Wolves, but I'm hoping for a move. Cardiff have been promoted and that's the one I'm really waiting for.

"It's my home town club and in a lot of ways that's my dream move. I don't know what Wolves would want for me in terms of a transfer fee, but it seems as though David Jones doesn't fancy me as a first team player. My future appears to lie elsewhere.

"But, having said that, if I am still with Wolves at the start of next season I will be fighting for my place."
