There
has been no further information on possible City interest in for former striker Simon
Haworth. The Wigan frontman could be allowed to leave the JJB for a cut price £250,000 before he becomes free on a bosman at the end of the season The Western ran an interview with Haworth with him saying "I'd like to think I'm a bargain at £250,000. I'm sure I'd repay that fee many times over. If Cardiff City wanted to sign me last year they would have to have paid £750,000 for me. I've played well enough this season and I've scored a lot of goals for Wigan. A few clubs have expressed an interest in me, but I'd love to come back to Cardiff. It's a different club to when I left in 1997." There was no suggestion in the article that City were interested but said Alan Cork could be. |
