You
will be aware of the disaster and loss of human life in New York City. Nothing I can say
will ever be enough to express my sympathy for those people involved. There were close links with Cardiff City and with this website. Firstly Sam Hammam has two children working close to the World Trade Centre. Fortunately both of Sam's children have reported home safe and well. Both were in the area when the disaster took place and both were witness to the scenes of destruction. Messageboard regualar Steve Day had to wait over 15 hours before getting news that his mother was safe. She had been on holiday in Manhattan and has been treated for cuts and bruises. John Smith, another messageboard regular lives in New York City. He was at home a mile or so from the crash site and is unharmed. I'm sure there are many other links but I'm grateful that the obvious connections we have with New York have resulted in the family and friends of this website being safe. For the rest of America, our thoughts are with you. |
