Happy Easter, it should be for the Bluebirds. City could be unofficially promoted after Saturdays game at Darlington. A City win coupled with a defeat for Hartlepool and a draw or less for Rochdale would mean that City could only be equalled on points. With a goal difference of +24 on Hartlepool and +35 on Orient there is no way City are going to lose all their games and the O's or Hartlepool winning all theirs and getting the goals needed.

Two wins this weekend would leave the same scenario as long as Hartlepool win their games, what Orient and Rochdale do would be irrelevant.

I have pinned my flag to the mast and insisted that City are going up. Maybe it will be confirmed this weekend, maybe even only officially confirmed at York next week but make no mistake we are going up.

What a day April 28th will be, last home game, promotion in the bag, a day for celebration.

City are chasing records though. Two league games left this season at NP. So far 21 played, 15 won, 6 drawn. Two more results would see City with an unbeaten home record. At the moment the only other club out of the 91 remaining league teams with the same record is Arsenal. City have only ever done that once before, over 50 years ago.

City have scored 50 goals at NP, 34 away from home, thats 84, only 9 short of the club record 93. 100 goals would be nice but that would be icing on a very rich cake.

As for the championship its a three way race. Chesterfield lead the race, but Brighton are only 4 points away with a game in hand, City are 5 points away but entertain Chesterfield, its wide open.

Have a great Easter.
