| March Headlines |
Andy Legg has been rewarded for his superb form this season by being named in Mark
Hughes' 26 man Wales squad for the World Cup Qualifiers against Armenia and Ukraine. Legg,
34, has been the rock at the heart of City's defence and has already done enough in most
peoples to win player of the season. Legg has earned 5 previous caps and it would be great to see him add to that tally. The first game in the WC double header is away in Armenia on Saturday March 24th, then Wales entertain the Ukraine at the Millenium stadium on Wednesday March 28th. City's young guns have also been rewarded for their contributions this season. FIVE players have been called into the U21 squad. Lee Kendall, Rhys Weston, Daniel Gabbidon, Kevin Evans and Rob Earnshaw are all called up. As a result City will cancel the away trip to Mansfield on Friday March 23rd. 5 out of the 6 called up players are first team starters. Full squads.
