City face a massive game at Shrewsbury tomorrow night. Brighton are 2 points ahead of us and play at home to Barnet on Wednesday. Its important for City to keep the pressure on them and go back above them tomorrow even if it is only for one day. We do not want Brighton to pull too far ahead. More importantly though is the chasing pack. Hartlepool have played one game more than us and do not play this midweek so tomorrow is out game in hand being played. We must win to create an 8 point cushion over Hartlepool. Blackpool in 5th are 7 points behind us in 5th and they have played the same amount of games. hey do not play this mid week. A City win would put us 10 clear and put the pressure back on them to play catch up. Orient in 6th are currently 10 points behind us with a game in hand, they play at Carlisle tomorrow and if we win and they lose then a 13 point gap with only one game in hand will surely be too big for them to close.

Rochdale are in 7th place, 14 points behind, they have two games in hand so cannot be ruled out, they are not playing this mid week either so we do not want them to have three games in hand that could reduce the gap to 5 points.

While defeat would not change our position or allow the chasing teams to over take us it would mean they could step closer and exert more pressure.

C'mon City.
