After
the announcement of the new stadium yesterday Sam Hammam has said "I am going to make sure Cardiff City have a team to match our magnificent new stadium, and a team to fill it". Once we are turning earth, there is no going back I am going to make sure we start bringing in players of the quality we need. People have seen aggressive moves for Graham Kavanagh and others, but once we have a stadium those deals will become miniscule by comparison. Ther is a degree of euphoria but what we are doing now will be nothing". Stop for a moment. This is Cardiff City we are talking about here. How many of you can honestly say that there has ever been a better time to be a City fan? While we are in league terms in exactly the same place we were two years ago, and as of yet have acheived nothing more than promotion to Div 2, something we have done many times before, just take a look at the changes / happenings in the last 12 months since Sam took over. £4m spent on players There's probably more things I could list. Have there ever been 12 months like that before? And now the future. Sam intent on immediate promotion to Div 1. A new stadium that could be in build within 12 months and see City in it within 3 seasons. And then the Premiership. A pipe dream. With Sam Hammam its a dream that could very well come true. Don't back against it. |
