Troubled
Leon Jeanne has tested positive for drugs. The young winger was caught out in a random
test 8 weeks ago. Legal reasons stopped the club from commenting sooner. Alan Cork said "Leon tested positive for a Class A drug some eight weeks ago. For legal reasons we weren't allowed to say anything to anyone and nor was he. He has to go to counselling twice a week. It's disappointing to because we've tried to get the boy straight. We'll still persevere with him and help him the best we can. But Leon is not a drug addict, if anything he's got more of a drink problem." The FAW will conduct a hearing in the next few weeks. City have said they will stand by their man. Jeanne was taken on by City after his off field activities saw him leave Q.P.R and get dropped from Wales U21. He is a special talent and has been given a "last chance" by Cardiff City. He may not get many more "last chances". |
