Dave Bassett is set to be confirmed as the new boss at Leicester City. Alan Cork must now decide on his set up at Ninian Park. It was hoped that Bassett would become his assistant adding experience to the coaching staff. Cork and Ian Butterworth played an adventurous, attacking and passing football team last night at Bristol City and may decide to stay as they are.

In another twist this morning Mickey Adams has quit as boss of second division rivals Brighton and is in talks to be Bassett's No. 2 at Leicester.

Adams said.

"In a way this is a devastating blow for me because I'm very happy
at Brighton. But having said that I am ambitious and I want to work in the
Premiership. I was disappointed in the summer that I didn't get the opportunity to be interviewed for a couple of jobs. Perhaps the only way I could get into a Premiership club is by doing it this way."

What chance now that Brighton will lose Zamora to the Foxes?

As for Cardiff City then we await news on Alan Cork's plans.
