Cork has dismissed a South Cost newspaper story that City were planning to make an
approach on Portsmouth's Ceri Huges. Hughes was on Cork's wanted list before the summer but is no longer a target. Meanwhile Cork has said he will always be on the lookout for new players and would hope to bring in a couple more signings during the season. He will not though go past the 34 squad players he has now. Some would have to go to allow other new players to come in. Cotk has placed Matt Brazier, Russell Perrett, Scott McCulloch, Jason Fowler, Kurt Nogan and Andy Thompson on the transfer list. Jeff Eckhardt has retired from full time football and will play for Newport while coaching at NP. |
