While the players and management are away sunning themselves in Majorca there is little actual news to report on. The Nathan Blake rumour has been the most high profile story of the week but that was finally laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon when the Echo interviewed Nathan and he confirmed he would not be coming to NP and was not looking to either, not until he was 35 and looking for a management job.

There has been murmourings coming from Swansea that City are strongly interested in keeper Roger Freestone. Roger is a quality keeper and in the Welsh first team set up as well. But like most of these things it's come from someone who knows someone. It causing a stir down West though and their message forums have been very active with this gossip.

This week Tony Cottee was released by Millwall, he was only with them for the very end of the season as cover and is no longer wanted by the Lions. Now he is being linked to City today. At 35 he certainly comes in the "experienced" category and it appears he wants to keep playing. Press reports today suggest City could be interested. Of course they could be interested in Zinedine Zidane but theres no guarantee he'll sign either.

How about players leaving? Speculation that Swansea are interest in Kevin Nugent and Leo FW has been rubbished. Its no secret that Kurt Nogan is expected to be on his way out. The player has been transfer listed last season and several clubs have been taking a look at him. Danny Hill, Paul Buttery, Matthew Gray and Carl Muggleton are the players who have officially left so far.

There will be some movement in the transfer markets thats for sure. Alan Cork has said he is in discussion with several experienced players and after last Saturdays defeat at Hartlepool he said some of the players could have played their last games for City.

Of course if there is any more speculation or actual transfer news then I'll let you know.
