The 3,000 odd City fans that turned up at Ninian Park today deserve a big pat on the back along with Cardiff City FC.

The "big Screen" was superb and close on 3,000 fans were able to see City playing away, get a beer and have access to plenty of hot food.

Personally I was only able to arrive at NP at half time. I drove into the car park wondering if it was open. No fear it was half full. I joined the throng in the bar under the lower grandstand (Grange End) to see at least 6 TV's at various locations. Hot food, Chips, pies, burgers, bacon, hot dogs etc etc. People queing for a beer, just like matchday. I was intrigued to see the screen. It was brilliant. Built up on the half way line near the dug outs the picture was approx 13' x 8'. Well big enough and excellent camera coverage from Brighton.

What a strange feeling though, I sat for half of the second half in the lower grandstand. Funniest chant was Bob Bank do the ayatollah. Of course the Bob Bank was deserted and no responce came. There were ooh's and aargh's as the game went on.

For the last 20 mins I was inside watching the game live a beer in hand and friends near to chat to. OK the result was a blow but the day and occasion was first class.

If you mirror the Grange End side of the lower grandstand with the Canton End, then add all the bars in there must have been close on 20 TV's showing live action today, the grandstand was full from blocks B to E watching the big picture.

Congratulations all round.
