The debate over where Cardiff should play Leeds has started. The Wales on Sunday this morning ran a story that The Millennium Stadium could be used by Cardiff City if they got a big draw. Well they don't come much bigger than Leeds Utd. Cardiff City are interested in moving the tie. Sam Hammam has said he will be seeking permission to play at the Millennium Stadium

There are valid arguments on both sides, the romance of bringing a Premeirship team into the intimidating atmosphere of a packed Ninian Park or the chance to see potentially 40, 50 or 60,000 fans at the Millennium Stadium watching Cardiff City play.

It would appear the club are seeking permission to move the tie but its the F.A. who will decide. Precidents have been set before but the Millennium Stadium is home to the final and they may not want it used for a round 3 game.

The FA Cup is special to Cardiff City for obvious reasons. We are about to enter another chapter in the City / FA Cup history books.

Wherever its played (personally the lure of the Millennium Stadium is pulling me in that direction) it will be one of the biggest days in City's history.

The club have announced that if the game goes ahead at Ninian Park then season ticket holders / members and ticket stub holders from yesterday will get priority. Season ticket holders will have the chance to secure their usual seats and when tickets do go on general sale they can be purchased using all the usual routes.

Another factor that may come into the arguments is television. There is only 1 all Premiership tie so the TV companies wil be looking for the games where the big boys could be facing tricky ties. The games are being played on the Saturday / Sunday and Monday (5th, 6th and 7th of January).

FA Cup rules say that away fans get 15% of the tickets. Thats 3,000 for Leeds fans. City may be able to offer them some more, I suspect they would take the whole of the Grange End with additional security measures at either end to ensure decent segregation,
