| January Headlines |
Kurt Nogan fired his 4th and 5th goals of the FAW Cup this season to ensure City kept up their 100% record in the group stages. Nogan finished clinically in the first half after Danny picked up a loose pass from the Merthyr defence and put Nogan clean through. Kurts second goal in the second half was a typical poachers goal when he reacted first to a loose ball in the box after a cross from the City left. There could be some bad news from that goal, during the challanges Andy Thompson was injured, at first look it appeared serious. There is no further news of that at the moment. The goals tonight brought up the total scored in the FAW to 10 this season in 5 games, added to 10 scored in the FA / Worthington Cups and 50 scored in the league a return of 70 goals in 43 games superb stuff. Cardiff now win the group before they even kick a ball against Cwmbran. That match will be played at Ninian Park on Tuesday Jan 30th. Group table.
