What a terrible night. Bottom of the table Bury 3 - 0 City. How can that happen.

How about the Bury players wanting it more than City. Nothing went right tonight. On chances created it could have finished all square but we were second best.

We've lost the chance to move into the play off spots, we've lost our record of scoring in every game.

It was the players that let the fans down. Not one will get a good report.

Alexander was at fault for the howler of a first goal scored by Bury. He called for a high cross and Gabbidon stopped and the ball bounced between them and over Alexanders head and into the goal. That was only 10 mins in. City kept Bury out for the rest of the half, best chance fell to Brayson who forced the keeper to save, diving low to his left.

Still a whole second half for things to improve but it never did. The first action of the half was the two opposing mascots having a ruck by the corner flag. What looked like playful slapping turned into a full blooded attack on each other. Stewards had to pull them apart. Word after the game was that both mascots were going to charge the other with assault.

Straight after that Bury produced the move of the half to cut City to ribbons. Gareth Seddon finished off David Borley's cross to put Bury 2 up.

City had chances Leo headed at the keeper after being set up by Legg and Kavanagh had a low shot well saved by Kenny in the Bury goal.

City had to puch forward to try and get back into the game but for all the possession and effort nothing was going right. The players got no luck and to be honest they did not deserve to get any. Bury were more alert and played better balls. As City tried to push further up the field they were caught out and Borley got himself on the score sheet when he raced clear and beat Alexander one on one.

There were some calls of Cork out but they were boo'ed by the majority of vocal fans. There were many who stayed silent.

Spencer Prior was the only City player to come and acknowledge the fans. Not only did he come towrds us he went right upto the edge of the stand and apologised for the terrible result and performance. He was applauded by the fans for his honesty and for his apology.

Now the players owe us something. They can repay their debt by giving Chesterfield a beating on Saturday.
