 Further to the Des Hamilton news today the Echo reports that
Luton's out of contract skipper Paul McLaren is at Ninian Park today for a medical.McClaren is a highly rated midfielder and without doubt another quality signing. He is 24 and has already made over 170 appearances for Luton. His departure from Kenilworth Rd has not really been in doubt as he is too good for the third division. It was thought he could go to Walsall after their promotion to Division 1 but the news that he is at Ninian Park for a medical today is superb for Cardiff City. Again we are awaiting official confirmation of the signing. McLaren and Hamilton will join Neil Alexander and Michael Simpkins who have both signed already. Sam has pledged £2m for new players but so far has only spent £130,000 on Alexander. Simpkins has, and McLaren and Hamilton will, sign on free transfers. What a day two new players no money spent on getting them here, we have bagged a former Premiership player and the captain of another team. Well done Sam and all. |
