Peter
Thorne has been put in plaster after a hospital visit on Wednesday has found damage to
ankle ligaments.
The striker was hurt in Tuesday's win over Brentford, just minutes after scoring the 3rd goal of his City career (pic above). He tried to run off the knock but the bench called him in. It would appear he is likely to be in plaster for a couple of weeks and the official website are saying he could be out of action for upto 3 months. Thorne said "I don't know if the lad caught me. But I seemed to go over on my ankle as I landed and I knew straight away I had done something. It is so frustrating for me, but we'll have to wait and see how bad it is." Its shocking bad luck. Thorne had missed 8 games with hamstring trouble and looked to be back at his best for the first 20 minutes against Brentford and now this. |
