The current good run of form being enjoyed by Cardiff has come mainly from 3 wins and a draw in the last 4 away games. We have not lost away since September 25th at Q.P.R.

At home the record is not so impressive. 3 draws and a defeat in the last 4 games. In fact from 7 games only 2 wins. We've only lost one but draws are not good enough.

Home form will need to improve and quickly. After the away game at Bury on Wednesday City play 5 of the next 6 games at Ninian Park. One of those games is the reversed FA Cup tie with Tiverton but 4 from 5 league games are at home and with City closing the gap on the top of Division 2 then wins are a must.

The 4 - 3 - 3 formation being played away from Ninian Park is reaping rewards but at home it not good enouh to break teams down. The players can see it and have openly commented on it. They are also finding it a pressure to be faced with crowds of over 11 - 12,000 all expecting victory. Well if they are true professionals a big crowd should be the least of their worries.

In the league City play Chesterfield at Ninian Park this coming Saturday. Colchester at NP 10 days later and Oldham 11 days after that. The 4th league home game is on Dec 4th against league leaders Brentford. The two exceptions are Tiverton on Nov 17th and Notts County away on Nov 24th.

The general rule is win your home games and pick up as many points on the road as you can. If City could put in 4 good home wins then we will be right in the promotion hunt.

Ninian Park is a fortress, one defeat in 30 odd games proves that but we have to make it a fortress where there are no survivors. Tranmere escaped with a point last week we must tighten the defence and make sure no one else gets away with anything.

Chesterfield look out. We are due a big win at home. It could be you.
