Cardiff City will move into 6th place in Division 2 if they can beat Bury at Gigg Lane on Wednesday evening. Tuesdays nights win for Reading over Wrexham have pushed the Royals into 4th spot and have left it open for City to leap frog Q.P.R, Wycombe, Peterborough and Huddersfield and move into 6th. Even then City would have a game in hand which could push them into 4th place.

The table looks like this tonight

1 Brentford 16 7 2 0 25 8 4 2 1 8 5 +20 37
2 Brighton 17 7 0 1 16 5 3 5 1 9 8 +12 35
3 Stoke 16 6 1 1 13 3 4 2 2 11 6 +15 33
4 Reading 17 4 1 3 10 8 5 1 3 11 8 +5 29
5 Bristol City 17 5 2 2 14 6 3 2 3 9 9 +8 28
6 Huddersfield 17 5 1 2 14 8 3 2 4 11 10 +7 27
7 Peterborough 17 6 1 2 22 9 2 1 5 5 12 +6 26
8 Wycombe 17 4 4 0 13 6 2 4 3 9 11 +5 26
9 QPR 17 4 3 1 11 6 3 1 5 11 14 +2 25
10 Cardiff 15 2 4 1 10 8 4 2 2 14 8 +8 24

Of course we have to win first. The depression that followed Tranmere's 92nd minute equaliser just 10 days ago will all be forgotten if we place ourselves into promotion contention.
