The behind cloased doors friendly against Swansea City on Friday gave Alan Cork a chance to involve a couple of youngsters. Midfielder Nicky Fish and defender Anthony Byron were give some time on the pitch with the senior players.

As reported yesterday City won the game 1 - 0 with a Peter Thorne effort in the 82nd minute.

Rob Earnshaw played for 45 mins and is looking good for a return to action against Bristol City on Tuesday.

Michael Simpkins and Graham Kavanagh missed the the game through injury, both players were subbed last week against Brighton, but both hope to be fit for the Bristol City game. Daniel Gabbodon and Josh Low have been involved with Wales this weekend so there were 4 changes to the starting line up that faced the Seagulls last week.

City kicked off with Alexander in goal, Des Hamilton, Spencer Prior, the returning Scott Young and Martyn Giles across the back. In midfield was Jason Bowen, Willie Boland and Mark Bonner with Paul Brayson, Earnie and Thorne up front.

Cork kept the same line up for the first half but then changed it around. At half time Leo came on for Earnie, Hughes for Prior, Weston for Bonner and Legg for Giles. City then inbtroduced Lee Kendall for Neil Alexander on 59 mins, Nicky Fish for Des Hamilton on 62 mins and Byron Anthony for Scott Young on 69 mins.

Good to see Scott Young back in action. His third game in 10 days.
