The role at Ninian Park is for a No. 2 to Alan Cork and Dave Bassett knows that only too well.

Sam Hammam has outlined the potential of Cardiff City to Bassett and he will know in no uncertain terms the ambition of Sam. Bassett must now decide. The offer appears to be on the table.
