Ian
Atkins will be appointed joint assistant manager to Alan Cork. The 44 year old will leave
his post as manager of Carlisle and start with City on Monday. Sam Hammam confirmed the
appointment at the fans meeting in Cwmaman last night. Atkins has managed at Colchester, Northampton (when they knocked out of the play off semi's in 97), Chester and Carlisle. Samesh Kumar tried to get Atkins to manage Cardiff during his reighn at NP. Atkins will work on the coaching side with Cork, Ian Butterworth and George Wood. |
