Sun 6th May 2001 - Huddersfield relegated

Huddersfield have been relegated from Div 1 and will line up in Div 2 with City next season. With only the play offs to be completed the list of Div 2 teams is as follows.

Bury
Oldham

Port Vale
Wrexham

Bristol City
Cambridge Utd

The four remaining teams are in play off action.

One of Reading, Walsall, Stoke or Wigan will be promoted to Div 1 leaving the other three in Div 2.

One of Hartlepool, Hull, Orient or Blackpool will come up from Div 3.

There are some super games to look forward to. Local games at Bristol City and Swindon. Matches against the relegated 1st Div teams Q.P.R., Tranmere and at the cracking McAlpine Stadium against Huddersfield. A Welsh derby against Wrexham.
